Summary
This project centres on the investigation of large scale, high resolution magnetic and GPR data sets as potential source for palaeoenvironmental reconstruction. Geoarchaeological field data will be collected in order to verify the palaeoenvironmental interpretation and correlate both data sets to provide a knowledge base for future research. Two case studies in Norway and Austria have been selected to test the methodological approach and evaluate the contribution towards the interpretation of archaeological landscapes.
